vi) The company intends to maintain cash on hand and balance at bank equal to one month’s raw material cost, two month’s labour cost and three month’s overhead cost for the contingencies.

You have required to prepare a statement showing working capital requirement for the company.

Q.4) Heena garments ltd is a leading manufacturer of Jeans & sells them on credit basis through a network of dealers. It present sale is Rs. 30 lacs per annum with 20 days credit period. The company is contemplating an increase in the credit period with a view to increase sales. Present Variable cost are 70% of sales and the total fixed cost is Rs. 4 lacs per annum. The company expects pre-tax return on investment @25%. Some other details are given as under.

The number of units produced during 2018 was 3,000. The stock of finished goods was 200 and 400 units on 1% July 2018 and 31% July 2018 respectively. The total cost of the units on hand on 1* July, 2018 was Rs. 2,800. All these had been sold during the month.
